Don’t think about it too much, too much, too much, too mu-uch…

Whilst I’m a very analytical person, rendering me prone to taking calculated steps, giving no room to chances; lately I’ve just learnt to relax. Rather, on most occasions I feel nothing but to…relax.

As deep as it might appear, it just might not be that deep.

Carefree attitude – I find overwhelming – although pleasant. Feelings of relentless under bearing, allowing things to occur as they naturally seem to want to; as opposed to critically analysing and planning every stage of living. It’s at those times where I’ve permitted myself to undergo such occurrences that I’ve actualised the fact that things usually tend to work out inevitably – on most occasions, with little to no hassle.

As much as it’s great to always have a whiff or knowledge of what’s to come thereby allowing one to plan accordingly, sometimes it’s best to go with the flow of whatever and just take advantage of every given opportunity. Birthed in such circumstances is strength, the ability to trust yourself and God, essentially.

Do you sometimes feel carefree? How do you express it? Would love to hear from you.

I’ll be right back.

Funmi xx

  1. You are such a beauty, Funmi! I love your whole look and I couldn’t agree more with what you’ve shared here. I used to be so uptight in having to plan my every move and know the outcome before taking my first step. Life quickly showed me that no matter how much I plan, things will most often go the opposite or far from what I imagine and that’s not always such a bad thing, as you’ve mentioned. As great as it may seem to have control over every area of our lives, if life went as we planned, it would be rather boring because we wouldn’t experience all of the things that make us grow and become the best version of ourselves. Thanks so much for sharing, I really enjoyed this post! I hope you’re having the absolute best week so far, gorgeous girlie!

    1. Hunny! Thanks for stopping by and the encouragement.

I definitely agree with all you’ve said. The routine of planning towards a desired outcome and experiencing its occurrence sometimes can be stodgy. Decisions need to be made subjectively and within reason.

Hope you enjoy the rest of the week and have a fabulous weekend!

  2. Yes! Carefree attitude is the way to endure and surpass the hurdles of this life. I couldn’t be bothered of a problem when I know God’s gat me. I just live my life as it comes and hope for the best.

  4. Such a chic outfit! I try to be carefree and go with the flow as often as I can, but I like to plan ahead and having everything worked out. But I’ve learned in life that things don’t always go the way you plan so just go with whatever life throws at you.
