Hi all, hope everyone is well and having a great start to the weekend! Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my last post; they really are sincerely appreciated.

Today’s post is going to be an insight into what meals I gravitate towards on a near daily basis.

B R E A K F A S T

For breakfast, I find it near impossible to get up to make anything of substance. Also, I have quite a bad work-food relationship; I try to get a significant part of my day’s schedule done before reaching out for breakfast.  So in the mornings, I tend to just get filled on water, make smoothies or have Nutella on toast.

On this day I got up feeling quite hungry, so I had my trusted berry smoothie and a slice of baguette with Nutella spread.

This smoothie is absolutely yummers and filling – the ingredients used are great sources of energy, nutrients and antioxidants, helping one through the day.

By noon, I’ll certainly feel the need to make something more filling. On this day, besides getting some work done, I’d been to the gym also so I was terribly hungry LOL. The go-to was omelettes paired with bakes sweet potato fries and baked chicken. On my omelette, I have spinach, tomatoes and more chicken.

Haha! Those are the Mighty Trio – they go in almost every meal.

Spinach are super foods loaded with great amount of nutrients. The nutrients they encompass are very much beneficial to the skin, hair, bones; also providing protein, iron, vitamins and minerals needed by the human system.

This usually will last me till evening when it’s time for dinner. If I should feel peckish in-between, I’ll probably have a bowl of fruits, preferably grapes.

Moving onto dinner, I had pasta shell bolognese – of course with more spinach and tomatoes. Since starting my fitness journey this month, I’ve been mindful of portion control. Also, I’ve noticed that I get filled quickly during meals. After about three to four mouthfuls, I’m near bursting.  So this is a great portion here, which pretty much got me through the evening till the following morning.

So there you have it, what I ate in a day. I hope you’ve enjoyed this post. Should want a recipe for any of these meals, please leave a comment below and I’ll be very much happy to get it up soonest!

Be Right Back,

Funmi xx

  2. I’ve never read a ‘What I eat in a day post’ before and I loooved it. My aim was to start making smoothies but erm, I havn’t got that blender yet. I am all about that chicken with sweet potato fries- ARE YOU SERIOUS, YAASSSSSS!!!!

My tummy is super sensitive so if I eat carbs after 7, I explode, that doesn’t mean I don’t cheat though. I’m obsessed with making salads and putting mini Italian bread sticks in’em, oops!
