Hey gorgeousness and fellas! Hope you all are well and having a great week.
Lately, I find myself reminiscing on how much I’ve grown in the past couple of years; much so, career wise.
Consciously running my own race, whilst unconsciously refusing to be side-tracked by others. Confidence in the journey, committed to my commitment – I press on towards the mark. The need to compete, impress or convince people to believe in the journey, I resent.
Away with the much loathed question of ‘what do you do?’ Over time, I finally accepted that people don’t have the get it; neither do they have to understand how I hope to achieve them all. At what point I crossed that path, I do not know.
I believe confidence in this respect stems from understanding and accepting one’s goals, trusting the journey, and believing that God will bring to reality that which I have faith in, and put the work towards.
Coupled with the above is the decision to be one’s self. No other person is equipped to run the race which is intended for you. As much as it might be tempting to compare and analyse your journey against another, one must understand that the factors which will either encourage or affect growth will never be the same. Doing otherwise will only lead to frustration and cripple effectiveness or productivity.
Choose today to run YOUR race. Be the best YOU you can be!
