Hi all, hope you’re well and having a great week?!

As we draw nigh to the end of the year, I’m inevitably forced to assess the occurrences this year has encompassed – the achievements (whether success or failure), experiences and memories that have been created. All in all, it’s been a positive and productive year, allowing growth in most areas of life. As I hope for next year to be better, I have begun setting my goals and aspirations for the year.  My post on Goal Setting is very much relevant at this point; and I’ll encourage you all to check it out.

Onto today’s look; I very much like this school inspired outfit. It is fun, smart and appealing in more ways than one; yet not overbearing. It is well balanced.

You all are aware of my love for velvet. The lace trimming on the shorts does add some sass to its outlook. The Zara shirt is so much fun; it reminds me of the last day of school when you get to sign your friends’ shirts. Of course I had to thrown on a  wool Cape. Besides it being warm enough for the weather, it does compliment the outfit beautifully, showing the necessary details. Certainly, thigh-high boots are essential for this weather.

Hope you like the outfit as much as I do. What’s your favourite piece from this look? Please leave a comment below; would be great to know!

Be Right Back,

Funmi xx

  1. I still find it hard to believe that we are nearing the end of yet another year. On a different note, I am loving this look. I love how you layered that shirt on top of the velvet shorts – so fun!

    1. Thanks for stopping by, lovely! The thought of the year coming to an end sounds near impossible; it’s gone by so quickly.
Hope you’re having a great and productive week xx

  2. The cape is absolutely stunning. In the second to last look I imagined you put a belt and it could be a dress, love that versatility. Also, love the lace peeking at the hem of your shorts.
